I Style Women For A Living And This Is The #1 Garment Every Woman Should Own

There is one key garment I recommend to every client I style: A classic, tailored blazer. Sounds pretty basic, right? Well that’s because its literally THE most important basic you can own. This is a key piece in your closet if not, the most important garment in your entire wardrobe.

A classic blazer can instantly add polish to any outfit:

  • White tee & jeans
  • As your Fall jacket
  • Slip dress
  • Gown
  • Every skirt you own
  • Tank & shorts
  • Any outfit you wear..literally

Styling your blazer:

  • Belt blazer with a belt or Obi belt (printed silk or leather)
  • Wear on shoulders as a cape (very chic)
  • Tie blazer on waist (trust me its cool)
  • Opened with a belted garment

My favorite way to wear a blazer right now is to add a fun belt over top to cinch the waist. Obi belts will be dominating the fall fashion scene and I am totally obsessed. Obi is a traditional Japanese sash worn with a kimono- picture an updated leather version like below.

Back to blazer talk: If you are new to the blazer world then stick with the basics. What color should you buy? Black. Camel. Navy. Cream. Brown. Find the color that works best with your wardrobe.

If you are like me and have a blazer collection then I suggest adding in plaids, tweeds or a brocade blazer for the upcoming fall season like the one I am wearing in the featured image.

Need help finding the perfect blazer that fits like a dream? Well, you’ll have to call me for an appointment! Until then, I have rounded up my three most favorite blazers:

This blazer is classic, comfy and looks waaay more expensive then its under $40 price tag

Can we say CLASSIC!!! I seriously cant get enough of this blazer…ordering now in both colors

Okay..”technically” not a blazer but I feel it would be a crime not to share this piece with you. I own it black but plan to buy it in camel. A small warning however: People will compliment the heck out of this $36 piece. You are welcome.

Your blazer lovin gal,
